The Reading League California
The vision for the Reading League California is:
- to help local, county, and state-based educators and administrators understand how to build quality reading programs, from preschool to grade 12, based on reading science and Structured Literacy by providing accessible, high quality professional learning opportunities.
- to promote and support the use of reading science aligned course-work for statewide teacher preparation programs and professional learning opportunities for current educators.
- to foster relationships and alliances with literacy organizations and advocacy groups statewide in an effort to spread the mission and grow the movement toward the use of reading science in California educational systems.
- to create an inclusive organization that disrupts literacy inequities and actively represents the people, interests, and perspectives of California’s diverse demographic.
